What are NFTs?
Non-fungible tokens or simply NFTs, are digital assets that represent real-world objects like art, music, in-game items and videos. They are generally created using the same type of programming used for creating cryptocurrencies. But unlike cryptocurrencies that are fungible and can be interchanged, NFTs cannot be exchanged or traded equivalently as they have unique properties.
You will need a crypto wallet connected to the Boba Network in order to trade and mint NFTs.
Prepare Your Metamask Wallet
Metamask is the most popular browser wallet extension with more than 10M downloads. Boba has a comprehensive article on how to set up a Metamask wallet.
If you have your Metamask wallet ready, you will now need to get connected to Boba Network. The easiest way to connect to a new network is to use Chainlist.org and search for boba.
Then click the Connect Wallet button to connect.
And then click the Add To Metamask button to add the network.
After getting your wallet connected to Boba Network, you will need to top up the wallet with some ETH and Boba tokens. ETH tokens are used for gas (transaction fee) and Boba tokens are used to pay the purchase price of the NFT. Boba Network allows users to pay gas with Boba tokens as well; there is a comprehensive tutorial here.
Here’s how you can top up your wallet with ETH and then swap some Boba tokens.
Buy ETH from a crypto exchange. Transfer the ETH to your Metamask wallet (Ethereum network). Use one of the bridges here to bridge the ETH tokens from Ethereum network to Boba Network. After you get your ETH tokens to the Boba Network, you can now swap some of the ETH for Boba tokens at https://oolongswap.com/#/swap
Explore the Boba NFT Scene

Here’s how you can mint a Boba Town NFT

Select the number of Boba Town NFTs you want to mint using the — and + buttons.
Click on Connect to connect your wallet to the Boba Network.
Once your wallet is connected, click on the Mint button. Metamask will popup for you to confirm the transaction.
Ensure the amount of BOBA to spend is correct for the number of NFTs you are minting. And confirm the transaction.

With NFTs growing in popularity and driving thousands and millions of dollars, crypto-based scams have now become more sophisticated than ever.
